What will be your key focus?

As a part of our exciting work, we are reshaping our Learning Team, currently responsible for our award-winning Good Learning platform, to deliver effective learning for microfinance workers and corporate clients.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will have responsibility for the planning and operations of a small team to deliver effective learning outcomes, having subject expertise in adult learning and in designing and producing face-to-face and online learning programs. You will also initiate activity, and develop proposals and performance plans based on a deep understanding of the learning needs of each stakeholder group, and manage the design, development and delivery of all learning materials. Management of the learning management system, including oversight of a project to replace the current system, forms part of the role.

 

What will you need to succeed?

  • Subject matter expertise and experience in adult learning pedagogy and learning design methodologies, including ADDIE.
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end development, production and delivery of learning materials for face-to-face, blended and online learning, including costing projects and workflow planning.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in managing a small internal team and external contractors and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems, authoring and production tools.
  • Experience in writing proposals and business cases.
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in education, learning design or related field.
