As a part of this incredible work, the Program Design and Advisory Services team draws on our deep understanding of people on low incomes, innovative product and service design, and highly effective program delivery. Our specialist advisors, consultants and analysts work across sectors to provide advice on building the financial resilience and financial wellbeing of individuals and businesses and providing financial services to people on low incomes across Australia and internationally.

What will be your key focus?

The Program Design and Evaluation Analyst is a 12 month maximum term position to support the team deliver on a wide range of program design, research, and evaluation projects. A key objective of the position is to contribute to the production of quality research and evaluation outputs by designing and executing on research and evaluation plans, conducting quantitative and qualitative data gathering and analysis, and presenting outcomes and recommendations.

What will you need to succeed?

  1. Tertiary qualifications in humanities, social sciences or related areas. Academic and/or thought leadership will be highly regarded.
  2. Proven analytical skills, including demonstrated ability to plan and conduct research, monitoring and evaluation activities and develop evidence-based advice. Experience in quantitative research will be highly regarded.
  3. Demonstrated excellence in preparing documentation required for research and/or evaluation reports and presentations
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrated capacity to convert data into insights that will be shared with a wide range of audiences
  5. Understanding of financial wellbeing and its relation to financial and social exclusion, desired
  6. Some experience of facilitation, in workshops or focus group discussions is desired
  7. The capability and commitment to work in alignment with the values of Good Shepherd Microfinance.
