Election2016: Understanding the policy matters that impact financial inclusion

At election time the policy landscape can be difficult to navigate. This panel at the 2016 National NILS Conference examined the issues that may affect NILS program, clients and our communities.

Hosted by Money Magazine’s Effie Zahos, the panel included Di Wilkins, StepUP Loan Program Counsellor at Uniting Communities, Gerard Brody, CEO of Consumer Action Law Centre, John Langmore, Good Shepherd Microfianance board member, and Ross Womersley, CEO of South Australian Council of Social Services.

The 2016 National NILS Conference, held at Adelaide Oval over the 7th and 8th of June, was attended by 300 delegates working in the area of inclusive finance, including representatives from the not-for-profit, business and government sectors.
